An intersection of stories about Punt Road / Hoddle Street, Melbourne.
From Clifton Hill to St Kilda Junction, this infamous stretch of bitumen bears witness
to love, hate, joy, violence, compassion and frustration – day in, day, out.
Everyone has a tale to tell.
The Punt Road Project is a collaborative story-telling project focusing on experiences of Melbourne's main artery.
Gathering the community's memories, pictures, anecdotes and artefacts the project exhibits the multiple stories of life on and around this road.
What's your Punt Road story?
What does Punt Road mean to you? How does it make you feel? What's happened to you on Punt Road?
Have you witnessed wild and surprising things taking place in the gridlock?
Have you wept over a dashed dream or broken heart whilst staring up at the Nylex clock?
We need you...
This is a project that invites community participation.
We want to hear the personal, political, nostalgic, hysterical, violent,
loving and historical perspectives of Punt Road.
Drivers, passengers, cyclists, pedestrians, residents, businesses, stakeholders – everyone is invited to contribute.
